You may want to contact your Dept of the blind and see if there is some kind of training they will give to help ur ex get around without you having to do for him constantly. He should not depend on you for everything.
Maybe you are thinking Medicaid? Check online for application process. If he is a veteran there may be additional services and benefits there. Call the Area Agency on Aging for specific resources available in your area.
