She adopted me as my legal guardian after my mother (her daughter) was killed. I believe my aunts have taken her to Hospice somewhere in Nevada, but they wont tell me where she is.

The sad thing is I have not lost contact. My family has a very malicious and greedy nature, and my mother feels very easily persuaded by them. She is often manipulated into thinking she is a burden to everyone. The last time I saw her I got a call from one of her sisters saying I needed to go there to pick up a box of clothes. When I arrived the whole house was ramsacked. Partially emptied out and the rest of my mothers items boxed up or being packed up , in a hurry. I was angry and demanded that they tell me what was going on. Then she said my mother was moving, selling her house, and going to live with her , and that her last stroke had affected her because they found she had a brain aneurysm. My mother started talking nonsense, telling me that everything in the entire house was to be given to me, (she used to own an antique store) I knew something was going on because her sister said that her husband was going to build her a casita. She was treating her as if she was already gone. Not letting her keep any of her personal stuff, that she has had for years! I heard her whisper underneath her breathe that there was no room for any of it where she was going. She said whatever I couldn't fit in the car was getting thrown away or put into a storage for me. A week later I saw that my mothers entire house and all that was in it , she had put up for sale on offer up.Before that, I convinced her to let me come back the next day, but they were not home, I couldn't get a hold of them. The last time I went there it was completely empty and then driving by it I saw it being cleaned out by a bunch of strangers in work trucks. She told me before I left the least time if I ever wanted to see her I could come to her house to visit. But she has been avoiding me , even in messages for a month. I finally got her to respond, because I said to be expecting me because I was just going to show up, that got her to respond. She said not to come because they were very busy. My mother called me everyday, and since she has moved has not called me once. I asked her to have my mother call me and she said she couldn't hear anything, I said then accept a video messenger call from me so I can just see her and know she was alright. She said they were too busy. I know something is up. I know she is either in hospice or a nursing home. I am just not sure where and how I am going to find out.

Sarajoy, just curious why your Mom's sisters won't tell you where your Mom is located. Can you give us more information. Sounds like you lost contact with your Mom some time ago, is that correct?

It's not easy to locate a person who has moved to a medical center. Due to HIPAA law [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996], such information cannot be given out to anyone who calls on the phone who is not on the HIPAA approved list.
