Find Care & Housing
Your friend can pay you. If your friend is on Medicaid and qualifies for in home assistance, that might pay for some care. Other than New York, I don’t know of any Medicaid program that pays 24/7. Most pay between 15-30 hours per week with reporting requirements. Contact the area agency on aging in your city and they can direct you to available programs. Each state is different and has different requirements. Many have waiting lists for in home programs. You can also contact the VA if your friend is a low income Vet and see what is available.
