“In the beginning of this, he said, 'If you have a problem, you blame me. The buck stops at my desk.' He has yet to take any accountability and now we know he is writing a book about his leadership in the middle of the dring the begining of this pandemic,” Dean told “Fox & Friends.”
“I think he actually should be writing condolence cards to people,” Dean said, days after Cuomo was blasted for announcing that he has ^penned^ a book touting his leadership during the ongoing pandemic.

I saw a post today that is a huge banner hanging over a bridge in NYC covered in bright RED dripping paint letters spelling out CUOMO KILLED MY MOTHER.
That about says it all, methinks.

My condolences for your profound loss, Joel. That about says it all, too. No other words are necessary from us.

Cali; Joel posted a new rant this morning which is what Alva and I responded to. The admins removed HIS post and moved our previous answers to an old post of his.

We were not "going off" indescriminately. We were responding to a new salvo about Andrew Cuomo and how wonderful Trump was to send the Comfort to NYC.

I try to avoid political posts; I cannot let falsehoods stand, here or elsewhere.

I am NO fan of Cuomo's. I did not vote for him in the last election.

Shad, I've lived here since 1971 (those were the days!). My 3 adult chikdren live here. One of my kids went to the Midwest for part of the lockdown because his wife needed and surgery and wanted to recover with her mom, a nurse, in attendence. But they are coming back next week.

All this "fleeing to the suburbs" is made up hype. It's pent up housing demand from the normal Spring season that didn't happen.

Joel, have you (a)  ever run for public office   or  (b) ever worked for a governmental agency?   Do you have any idea how difficult it is to balance competing interests, especially when some people in the constituency refuse to accept guidelines, or the existence of indiscriminate fate?

In addition to voting people out of office, you can GET INVOLVED.    Have you ever worked on anyone's political campaign?  Worked for a specific issue group?   Done any volunteer work at all?

Oh, Lordy, Joel. Not AGAIN!!!! What is this? Number 6?
To my mind it's more like number 2.
To my mind the buck stopped with YOU. Except you didn't want it. You wanted to blame your own personal choices on a politician. Not unusual that, for one half our populace.
Please take your one vote, go away, and mark your ballot as you choose. I will promise to live with the results of that vote, whatever they are, and to continue to do my best for our wonderful country.
Life is too iffy now for ALL OF US to have people come to this forum with political diatribes instead of useful advice.
You are doing the same divisive tactics that some politicians live on.
Please get help with your grieving process, your relationship with your kids ongoing, and your life in general. You have a lot to work through.

Joel; Do you live in NYC?

I do. There is no lawlessness here. The city is not burning down. There is no rioting in the streets.

I live in Downtown Brooklyn/Ft. Greene. Most of my neighbors are Black. We go out an protest peacefully, socially distanced and masked.

Stop the rumor-mongoring.

I am sorry for your loss.

Point of fact: The good ship Comfort was not ALLOWED to have COVID patients admitted to it. Please check your facts.

Lol Fox and Friends. Keep your political manifesto out of here, this isn't the place for it.

This whole COVID thing has been a huge nightmare for our governors. Ours isn't running for re-election so he had no political reasons for making the mandates he did.

I'm sure he followed federal guidelines, but we were in a roll-out, roll back situation for weeks now.

People are angry, frustrated and depressed. This poor guy has aged 20 years in 6 months. we were supposed to be moving into 'green' just a few weeks ago, but now are back at orange, or whatever is 'worse' than green.

I ask my hubby everyday what today's menu is: Mask, no mask, can we go somewhere or have to stay home?

You make your position known by voting out of office incompetent govs or any other political figure. It's not going to bring you LO back--I do not know how we're going to look back on this pandemic--probably not with a lot of pride about how stupid we've behaved.

I'm sorry for your loss.
