She would not make eye contact with me or speak to me. I became upset ,so she just ignored me. She was sent to help me clean just run vacuum in living room. about 20-30 mins she would be done and go home. She acted like she really didn't want to do that, more just sit. I do not not ever want to see or be bothered with a volunteer. What can I do?

Where is this volunteer coming from? Is she a friend of the family? Why does your sister like her so much, you don't really say. Would it be better if this 'volunteer' just came and visited with your sister instead of working? I mean if sis likes her but you don't like the work she's doing, how about splitting the difference? That way you can find someone else who actually DOES the work you need.

You call your Case Manager/Nurse at hospice and tell them you want a new volunteer.

This was the first visit to get to know each other. My sister is a retired RN,Girl was a new RN 2 years out of school. The hospice we are with limits what the volunteer can do. Limited really to just sitting talking and playing cards or reading to client.
Some light house work. She acted like she really did not want to do anything that inlvoed work. Also could not come until after 2pm. She works nights. I think I am just going to wait awhile then maybe give it another go. The last 8months I have been doing everything myself so we will see. I am just too upset and afraid they will send other not too helpful person. I am just seriously off volunteers right now
