we had a huge family blowup and I went and discussed it with the Hospice social worker. Unbeknownst to me, said social worker went months later and repeated to family what I said. Is there no confidentiality in what we speak about?

There were no hostile or threatening statements made. No one passed during this time. I am calling this social worker very soon to ask why this was done and based on their answers (I don't know a good enough reason for this to of been done), I will be contacting whomever is in charge of this worker.

I would have thought there should be. Even if there wasn't, it seems quite unprofessional, unless you expressed hostile thoughts and/or were threatening and she thought she needed to protect them. But if so, I don't know why she would wait several months, or did someone pass before she repeated the statements?

Are you making a complaint to the hospice management? I think it would be appropriate.
