I adjusted my work schedule so I can come home in the middle of the day to take care of her for a couple of hours. Hospice only come out 3 times a week for an hour at a time. I do the rest of the care giving myself. I am already working part-time and can barley afford to pay the bills I have. I don't have the money to pay someone to sit with her for 4 hours a day.

You can only do at home hosoice if you gave ome one taking care of her. They provide 24 hour while the stabilize the patient or once death seems imminent. They also are not there for custodial care, if you cannot be present the best choice is a facility you can visit after work, then ypu can return to full time wrk, if that is what you need.

If she is to have round-the-clock care, hospice probably needs to report non-compliance with that. Perhaps APS can help you find ways to meet this requirement without giving up your work income.

I am so very sorry you are facing this. It is certainly hard enough to be losing a loved one without all of these other stresses.

You signed a Hospice agreement, did you read it? It always calls for 24 hour care, the patient cannot be left alone. If APS says she has to move to a Hospice facility, let them do that. You need to work to survive.
