I had hip replacement surgery. When I got home I could not move my foot on the opposite leg. It seemed like dead weight when I was standing.

The only thing that springs to mind immediately is that you possibly had an epidural block and they "nicked" the spinal column. But that should have been assessed at the hospital.

Were you feeling this way in the hospital? Get this checked by the surgeon. Or even , just head back to the ER at the hospital where the surgery was performed.

Bailey,
Listen to Veronica.
She has both the medical credentials and experience to know!

Bailey no this is not normal and you should contact your Dr immediately. Something is very wrong. Did this happen while you were still in the hospital?

That did not happen with my stepdad. Did you go to rehab following the surgery? If not, that would be a very good idea.

Bailey, I am moving your post back to the front page to see if someone who is familiar with this surgery can give you any advice.

Otherwise, if you haven't already, contact your surgeon or primary doctor.
