My mom has Alzheimers in probable 6th stage. She does fairly well during the day but at night it has been pretty rough with her memory and frustrations. Does anyone have any medication ideas to try. I don't want her to be a zombie. She currently takes a mild sleeping pill, which honestly I don't think does anything, and an anti-depressant. What has worked for your LO?

I have tried medicating my husband with advanced Alzheimer’s but his need to urinate during the night made this more complicated, I tried melatonin.

Ativan at .25 mg helped a lot with mom's Sundowning and then it was increased to .5 mgs every 6 hrs as needed when things progressed.
