My husband has Parkinson's and Alzheimer's; He has about $11,000 in his retirement account; gets an Army Pension; Police pension and Social security that equal roughly around $2500.00 a month. He needs more care than I can provide for him; I am the wife and fulltime caregiver. What is out there for me to do?

Why not use some of that income for an aide who can give you some relief?
If that is not enough, contact the VA about what placement is available.
Avoid Medicaid if you can. They will look at both your assets, and go back five years to make sure you did not give anything away.
Should you decide on a Nursing Home, they will help you figure out the financials and counsel you on available benefits. Call a place near you and ask for the tour and free lunch.
