He is "off" food and very weak. His doctor called last week and arranged for blood tests - says he has a slight thyroid deficiency - to get more tests in 3 months! I am wondering if there is anything he could take other than yet more medication. . Doctor didnt offer anything anyway. Probably given up on him. I thought sea vegetables but he would not eat anything like that even when he had a normal appetite. Maybe disguised in soup? There is so much on the internet I am confused.

Thank you Windyridge and Sunnygirl for replies. I am in the UK now and no marijuana here legally. I did ask Doctor about it for my mother who was in a lot of pain but he was horrified at the idea. It was years ago and I had heard it was available medically for multiple sclerosis.

Is medical marijuana legal in your state? I've had friends suffering from cancer who were able to get prescriptions. It was a great help with their pain and increased their appetite.

Is he on Hospice? If so, maybe they could help you.

I wish I knew more. I haven't had to deal with anything like this. I hope others around here will know more.
