Help for hyperacousis. Any advice?

It may go along with some neurological problems, like MS. You might start with an ENT doctor. It's a rare disorder. My husband has always complained about some sounds like crunching potato chips or metal silverware on a plate when those sounds are made in an otherwise rather quiet environment.
