He gets no sleep. He needs help at night with her. My Dad still works full-time during the day. My mom has dementia and stays up all night. My dad is not getting any sleep and can't function during the day. He is 83 years old. I need to find out if there is someone who can come in a couple times a week overnight to take care of her so my dad can sleep.

That's understandable that he doesn't get any sleep, my boss had the same situation with his wife.... he had a caregiver during the day, and he took the night shift... he was lucky if he got 2 or 3 hours of sleep.

Have your Dad check with the Assisted Living facility to see if they offer night care. There would be an hourly fee. Or have your Dad check your Mom's primary doctor to see if there is anything available that will help her sleep through the night or at least a few hours.

I'm not sure what your question is. The assisted Living places in my area all have lists of companies that have aides or you can find one on your own. They do require that the hire be from a licensed agency. What type of help is needed? Someone to just sit and make sure your Mom doesn't wander off or get into a situation that doesn't work?

I should have added they live in assisted living together. She gets care during the day so he can work. He does not require any care. He still works because he is healthy and active and needs to work to pay for the assisted living for my mother.

This sounds a little extreme. Dad is 83 and working full time. Mom has dementia. This situation is going to require more than occasional help very soon. I can't imagine how he does this. Can you fill in more of the Story?
