My dad has done things like this. Sometimes in the evenings he gets sundowners. All kinds of strange things can be said. Sometimes he will look at me and ask for his coat and tell me it's time to go home. When I tell him he is home and should go to his room and rest, he doesn't know where his room is. My house is not big and he can see his door from his chair. Hope this helps google sundowners and see if it sounds the same. Good luck and prayers
