I think as long as you do not go out of State you r OK. This may be a question for your States Nursing Board.

I think my daughter as an LPN, can go anywhere but as an RN, has to have a license for the state she works in. Right now she keeps up 2, NJ and DE.

[It always slightly baffles me when people are dealing with a specific bureaucratic process like this one, and instead of calling the bureaucrats up and simply asking them they come to a public forum and ask their friends to guess the answer. But never mind me.]

SP - somebody issued your provider number. You must have some sort of certification that shows it. Look at the paperwork, and see who you need to call. Call them and ask what you should do.

I expect there will be forms to fill in but I also expect there will be a straightforward way for you to do this - you're only moving county, after all, not even leaving the state, and it's not like you'll be the first! Good luck and happy moving :)

Oooo, I misread that as country 🙄 (hadn't had my morning coffee yet) - to be fair moving to another county hardly seems worthy of even asking.

It depends on what kind of health care worker you are and what countries you are moving between but I would say it's not very likely, different countries have different standards and levels of certification. Often even highly skilled doctors and nurses can't practice until they are re-certified.

I have no idea but there are nurses who participate in the forum. They will help. Best wishes to you.
