I have a 64 year old brother in South Carolina that we are thinking of moving back to IL. He is a verteran and on Social Security. He had an aortic anuerism in June of this year and a couple of weeks ago they went back and did some sort of colon surgery, which to my understanding left him having to use a bag. He will not be able to live on his own and will need assistance.

Contact the Veteran's Administration where you intend to move him. They may be able to help. He's too young for Medicare under general situations, but he may qualify for Medicaid. You could look into that when you get him moved or else in the state where he lives.
