Call in hospice. They will provide you with relief a couple times a week....take care of bathing him, and help you to cope.

they have many services to help the caregiver too.

You might want to get an in-home aide come a couple hours each morning just to help you out and get time off.

You have way way too much on your plate now, to say nothing of your poor guy. He is likely bullheaded because he is terribly distraught, depressed and feels he is a burden to you. KNOWS it, really. Please consider now calling in hospice. It is time to do it. I am not saying he has 6 months. I am saying you need HELP and if he doesn't die in 6 months they won't kill him; they will likely recognize the level of care he needs and sign him on for 6 months. I am so sorry for all you are going through.

Wow. Well, yours is certainly worse than mine. Reach out for help, unless you have training in the medical field, don't for a second believe you can take this on by just googling his symptoms each day. Seek professional medical advice and care. It may be time for you to considering hiring a personal nurse.

Even if you WERE a nurse or a doctor...I would still advise you to hire outside help. You can't be objective enough to give the best care.

No medical training. Just trying to care for him best I can. I am considering home care help.

Margaret (((((hugs)))))).

And deep breaths.

He is in the hospital, yes? If not, get him there. His physical condition is far too complex for you to take care of right now. Talk to the social workers. Call the hospice folks.

You cant think clearly and make good decisions in his best interests if you are exhausted. (((Hugs)))))).

Thank you everyone. I have thought about someone coming to give me a little time to calm down. This all happened really fast. One day he was fine, next he could not breath and in the hospital for over a week. Now life is totally changed. I get a lot of bull from professionals and a lot of running around. Too many incidents to mention. I pray he gets better soon but I guess blood clots take months to go away. Thanks again. I will look into help..
