The calls say press 1 to speak to a representative. I have received 8 calls today.

If all the scam calls I got about a nonexistent Amazon account being closed, SS card being compromised, feds ready to serve a search warrant, and more outlandish fraud attempts were true, I would have been imprisoned long ago.

Belinda, the only reason I would "press 1" to speak to a rep is to ask for her own SS number, the company's EIN so I can report them to the IRS, and any other information I could pry out of them to report to the FTC and law enforcement.

We get these in Canada too referring to our SIN. Just hang up, when you get the calls.

Oh my goodness, every day.
Hopefully freezing my SS number will keep the I.R.S. from executing that warrant they have for my arrest ( another scam call I get once a week at least).

Yes, these are scams out after your private information. Social Security will not call you. Look up Social Security Scams online. You can also go to the AARP site which will tell you about all sorts of scams. Stay safe. No giving out of private information, period. Now there are scams saying your Amazon Card was accessed and they are putting forward charges on your card unless you call. It is just scam after scam out there.

Yeah, and I'm not even American 😒. Caller display is a wonderful thing, unfortunately some of them leave messages.
