I've heard of professionals who will go to the home daily to remind seniors to take meds, but, when someone has dementia, that might be just issue that needs addressing as vegaslady says above. I might observe how the person is handling other things in the home, like cooking, bathing, laundry, paying bills, etc. After the early stage, it's often too risky to leave a dementia patient unattended. I'd try to figure out what her needs are now and if a medication reminder is all that she needs.

Remind him or try to force it down? The overall problems are probably larger than just one issue. Is everything else under control?
