My body isn't in perfect shape and now my mom has to live w/me. She has to have someone home all the time, that's why she don't live alone. My dad passed a little over 2 years ago. I am unable to work, and my funds are running out.

PLParkins56, have You applied for Social Security Disability? I would definitely start there, and then go to Social Services to see what you might qualify for, on your own merit and work history, not your Mother's. She needs to qualify for her own benefits. I think?!

She was living by herself in texas, but came up here to live w/ me so I could help her. I know somewhere out there, I could get some kind of help.If you can't help me, do you know where I can go?

If you were injured at work, did you get Workman's Comp and/or government funded disability?

Your profile mentions that your Mom has a hearing loss, if there any other serious medical issues, see if she can apply for Medicaid, that way your Mom could reside at a continuing care facility and Medicaid would help with the cost.
