No you do not have to a have a license (CNA) to care for your parent. If you were to hire an outside caregiver they would need a license to come in and provide care. Welcome to being a caregiver. No, you do not. Many cultures have always kept elderly parents at home in the family and cared for them. I always have with my parents, grandparents, and in-laws. I would suggest that you get whatever info you need for any conditions your parent has and info on any meds taken.
