Each state's aging department is supposed to oversee this program of assistance to those caring for an aged family member.
After a month of no response, I sent an email to my County's Aging office yesterday with specific questions based on the information from the State's website.
It baffles, frustrates, and angers me that no information on how to get into the program is available on either state or county level. I don't understand why either or both can't post a FAQ of such basic information. Instead, after telling all the great things the program does, the State just says to contact the County. In my county there's only one agency listed; the same one that is clearly overburdened and understaffed...
Okay, I'm through venting. Has Anyone gotten positive results from this national program?
The thing with grants, you have to apply for them. National Family caregiver support program may provide the grant, but the State has it under another name or with another program? From what I read, Medicaid provides almost the same things.
I worked for the Township and my dept got a new vehicle supplied by a grant. The Township CFO applied for it. We had no idea where the Grant came from, we only knew we got a much needed new vehicle.
