IloveMom, not a good idea to take someone with dementia to a gun shooting range.

With modern technology, there should be some type of interaction game that a gun enthusiast can play at home and be safe.

If someone in the household has dementia to a point of confusion, time to put safety locks on each gun, or lock the guns in a gun vault.

Or if the patient was a hunter but can no longer go out for that sport, suggest he/she start gifting the guns to relatives/friends who would love to have them for hunting/target practice [as long as this doesn't cause a speed bump when applying for Medicaid and the 5-year look back].

someone asked about guns... everyone can use a refresher course on gun safety.... ANYONE who owns and harbors a weapon such as a gun, pistol, or rifle, should take a course no safety along with all members in the household.
