After almost 10 years of taking care of dad after his stroke, he went into the hospital for an infected diabetic ulcer. We put him in a nursing home because he needed more care. Now, I want to bring him home because that is what he wants, but siblings don't want him to leave facility. I would like him to come home and live out his last days in the home he loves. I live with him in the house he owns. I feel so guilty now. Everytime I go to see him, it breaks my heart. My brother is the number 1 person on his health care proxy. I am listed second. So I can't take him home.
