Find Care & Housing
Sorry, this is a forum of Caregivers sharing our expeirences. This is a legal matter and we are not lawyers. The one thing I can tell you is if the phone is totally in your name, she cannot get your records.

You may need to divorce your husband to get back whatbyou deserve.

Were you ever his PoA? If so, did he ever have a diagnosis of cognitive impairment after you were assigned his PoA? If you were never his PoA then I'm not sure what you can do except maybe to divorce him and get some of your assets protected. There's nothing you can do without the guidance of an attorney. I know you came to this forum desperate for advice, and the advice everyone is going to give you is to hire an attorney before it's too late. I'm so sorry, this is a complex and painful situation.

See an attorney. While it may be too late at this point, it is worth a try. I can't imagine why you were not in protecting the marital assets on day one. Call today. THIS isn't for the COPS. They can do NOTHING about this. This is a criminal case and is filed by the DA office. You need an attorney. IF your husband is competent, and IF your name was not on the accounts, on the home title, sadly that is kind of on you, and was a dreadful mistake.
I am so very sorry this happened to you.

Yes, why haven't you gotten a lawyer involved yet? What the heck are you waiting for?
