Find Care & Housing
If your parent is a veteran...go to the VA. If the VA doctor orders it, then they will send someone out to check out the house...and you can get one through them at a steep discount.

Check out the local senior volunteer organizations. There are often "handyman" volunteers as part of them...they go out and do work on homes for seniors.

Some local organizations will help with a ramp, but I have not found any that install chair lifts. I did have one lady go back home with a toilet only on the first floor and a bath aide once a week. Your patient has to be very alert to safely use a stair lift; if they have dementia, oh my!
