You can pray. You can give all this to a higher power and you can ask your angel to guide you.

hospitals are required to do a total workup on patients lest they face stiff federal fines if something was overlooked resulting in readmittance . its possible they have sedated your mom so they can run all their tests without having to battle the patient the whole time . they did that to my mom for 6 days . we didnt know if she was brain damaged or dying . we were told shed come around pretty quickly after she returned to her own turf ( her home ) . of course she did . she bounced out of bed 20 minutes after she got home and the sedation wore off .

Have you asked the nurses why your mom is unconscious? And if she's in the hospital why are you caring for her and not the staff? You should be going in to see her and having nice visits and leaving the care to the staff.

Shehla, you need to ask questions to the nurses and to the doctor assigned to your Mom. I realize sometimes when a love one is in the hospital everything is too confusing and even when the nurses/doctor is explaining something, it is hard to comprehend.

Do you have a friend who can come to the hospital and ask questions for you? Sometimes it is easier when one isn't emotionally tied to the patient.

NO do not feed the unconscious. That's a good way to kill them.

The hospital staff is not doing their job, so ask them and/or her doctor what's happening to her.
