My Mom has become very incompetent. My sister is using this and taking everything money etc. I have worked with local Elder Abuse for over a year and they have done nothing just saying mom is ok with things. Last week sister paid a lady to sit with her and even take her to heart dr which my other sister have no knowledge of any issues. Now I learn from this person on the street mom is going to need surgery but the sister stealing mom blind refuses to allow us other sisters to know anything. The trouble making sister has her credit cards, debit cards, checkbook and just got back from 2 wks vacation in Florida. What in the world am I ever to do. It was in writing I was not allowed to look cross eyed at my mother or show up at the house I was to be thrown off the property ?????
Does someone have Power of Attorney? Guardianship? Medical Power of Attorney?
How do you know that your mother has become incompetent? If you can't show up at the house, do you see her often? If you get your mother declared incompetent (which is done by a court, on advice from physicians) what do you intend to do?
Do you have evidence that your sister is stealing? Did you present the evidence to Elder Abuse? Is the evidence clear enough to present to the police?
