Where do I get assistance for someone to come help my Mother while I am at work?

Half my family feels my 87 yr old mother should not be left alone while I am at work for more than a hour at a time. she is able to dress and feed herself, keeps herself clean. not sure where to turn to or who to ask about getting a assesment on her to satisfy my family that she is fine without having someone with her 20 hours out of the day

Call her Dr. and ask for a needs assessment. A home healthcare nurse can come see your mom in her home and determine if she can be left alone. If it's determined that she can't be left alone the nurse can help you find in-home care for your mom while you're at work.
