What kind of help does your friend's daughter need that the guardian is not providing? Is that scope of help identified as within the guardian's responsibilities in the order of appointment?

As for pro bono help, your friend has a few options:

1. Research online for your county's bar association, call and ask for a list of pro bono attorneys with experience in guardianship.

2. Do the same for your state's bar association.

3. Research online or call local law schools and ask about any pro bono clinics they might have.
