On 12/19/2015 I went to a local funeral Chapel to get information about 2 burial policies of my Dad's.  Owner gave me copies Plus a handwritten note with the names and $ amount of coverage for each one. Then on 01/05/2016 we called to notify them we would be needing a pick up for my Dad's body. After being put on hold , coverage was verified again. Then again about 5 hrs later when we were ready we called for them to come.Only to be told that one of the policies had expired. After finding original policy I easily read it had expired around 1990. Can the funeral home be made responsible for reimbursement or to reissue another policy?

Find Care & Housing
You need to read the original policies. Any termination clause would be written in the original policy. The policy owner is the one responsible for keeping up any premium payments.
