My 90 year old mother is constantly asking for fruit. She would gladly eat fruit at the exclusion of a meal. I get up with her at least 2xs a night and even before I can change her pullup, she asking "where's my fruit?" I know that fruit is better than eating cookies, but it gets annoying when you know that is all she wants to eat. When she does eats it, it sounds like she's having an orgasm. And if I hear her say one more time that she likes the "crunch", I'll scream. I know that some will say to give her all she wants. She's 90 years old. But she has afib, is on Lasix, and is on a strict fluid intake. Maybe I just need to vent. Does anyone else have someone that has this obsession with one kind of food? Thanks for your help.
