My father is in a nursing home in rockland county but my mother lives with me in mahwah bergen county. None of the senior bus services will drive over the state line and a cab costs $35 each way. Are there any other options available for us. The distance from where we live to the nursing home is approx 5 miles.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Daily visits are not necessary, but a daily phone call is good. Seeing each other everyday may upset them both. Talk to the MD. Usually once a week is enough for them.
