Find Care & Housing
Respite care is not done in the home. The patient moves to an appropriate facility, based on MD recommendation and evaluation by the facility themselves. Some ALF's will offer one month half off on a trial basis. We did this and mom decided to stay. Be sure you read the policy completely, most have a waiting period before they kick in, as much as 90 days.
