Some counties have discount medical cards. What I've found though, is that some pharmacies don't accept these plans.

Research your current state's agencies to determine if there's an elder care agency. Michigan has an Elder Law agency which helps with advice on a wide variety of issues, including payment for meds.

You can also contact the manufacturer of the meds directly to find out if it has a program under which it discounts meds for patients.

Since you are new to Kentucky, you should sign up for a Medicare supplement policy in the new state. Plans vary by county, many options.

Ozzie, you would need to check with the State Medicaid office to see what programs are available to help you pay for prescriptions, and other health care needs.
