Where to find financial help for home repair?

Need sewer repair. Sewer trap needs repaired or replaced my wife and I are very low income. We need help.

My parents' septic tank collapsed earlier this year and Rural Development was suggested to us. The cost to repair was going to exceed the grant and loan amount. At that time they told me the highest amount they could go was $7500. You have to go through an application process and waiting period.

Contact your local city or township offices and ask about assistance through a HUD program, or call the United Way helpline (211).
