Asked November 2018
My father (83) with dementia was fine all day, resting peacefully but now started shaking his hands and feet and yelling out. Any suggestions?

DrivingDaddy I think it's the middle of the night for most people, I'm sorry you didn't get replies straight away.
How is he now? Did you manage to find if something was upsetting him?

It could have a physical cause or it could be agitation because of an unmet need or it could be sundowning - you didn't give us much to go on but I'm guessing you haven't seen anything like this before?
