Has anyone tried a 'nanny-camera' to record such abuses? Is it legal,
and does it cost a lot to buy one? My daughter in law helps herself to
some of my meds sometimes, but I can never prove it.

How do you know the granddaughter is stealing it? Are you allowing someone forgetful or with dementia to dispense their own medication?

So, could you call Adult Protective Services and tell them the story? The elderly lady needs to be moved into a better living situation for sure. What is your relationship? Are you a caregiver? If you are a caregiver and work for an agency, be sure and report this to your superiors.
