We are paid to prepare food clean shop drive to appointments we wash his clothes etc. are we doing something wrong he is only allotted so many hours, we go way above and beyond what were paid to do. bit he is a member of the family

have we to go to court because the family lied and said all sorts of things people that has no interest in him in the past, are now pointing fingers at us, we lost our pay for taking care of him but we care and love him. A.P.S. is lurking all the time. they took him from our home and now were left empty I'm so sad....we have said were a open book look at our checks and look at our bank statements where did we go wrong ....

I guess it is true No good deed goes unpunished :(

No what aside from fighting to gain him back in our home we have this black gloomy sky over us and my boss looks at me like I stealing from him as well.
Now what do we do?

We can not afford an attorney, we promised MOM on her death bed that we'd care for him.

How terribly sad. I'm very sorry this has blown up in your face like that.

I don't know if it helps, but the thing that really matters is whether or not your brother is being looked after. Are you able to have any contact with him in his foster home?

I agree with Pam, too, that as far as possible you should be allowed to rebut these allegations and clear your name (and record). Keep talking to APS. They at least owe it to you to explain what they want you to prove, surely?

he is in a foster home. APS believes the deadbeat dad and the other siblings..... I want to wash my hands of it only for a second but it is not my brothers fault that his siblings and dad are now wanting to have a hand in his care because all of a sudden they feel like WOW I can have free monies here. HUM care giving is not easy work especially with a DDA consumer / brother.

Where is your brother living now?

You go to court with all those records and clear your name. Dementia patients often say very strange things about their caregivers. Once you have cleared your name, you have your records expunged (wiped clean).
If he came back to live with you, this would start all over again, false accusations and claims of abuse. Don't take him back, let the state handle it.
