No. It is less expensive than the CT /MRI and is more informative in diagnosing the Gastrointestinal system disorders.

When I had to have a colonoscopy/endoscopy I asked Kaiser that very thing. Once they knew exactly WHAT procedure the doctor wanted to do to me, they told me how much it cost. So I'd say to call your health care provider and ask someone. In my case it cost $2000 for that stupid procedure and since that was what our deductible was at the time, I'm still paying it off. (groan)
