There is a positive side to being real concern about prices, that person isn't going to shop until they drop. They will only buy was is necessary. I am the same way. Only recently I got rid of my 30 year old RCA tube TV. And my vehicle is a 20 year old Jeep, which I will drive until the wheels fall off because I enjoy driving it.
The downside is trying to bring in caregivers because of the hourly rate, or moving an elder to Independent Living or Memory Care. The monthly cost is WHAT???? Not paying THAT.
