I know it's 4 years away, but what exactly IS the way SS calculates when you receive your check?

I know the amount is calculated on your highest 35 years of salary history but I thought everyone got their check on the 2nd or 3rd of the month like my mom does. Her birthdate is the 20th. I don't know what time she was born.

My birthdate is the 11th. I was born at 12:43 pm.

Calculations depend on your income so that can very. If u take it at 62 get get less than at 66 which now is the age for full SS. I know some people who are still working till 70 to get higher amount. I am using me as an example. My husband was on SS almost 2 yrs before me at 62. He receives 1500 a month. My SS was 752. I was half what my husband received. If my husband received 2000k I would have been brought up to 1000k, half of his. When you apply for SS, at least 2 months before actual retirement, they will give you all the info you need. I coincided mine with my pay schedule at work so my first SS check came two weeks after my last day just like my normal payroll schedule.
