I agree we need more information here. Is the custodian the homeowner? A live-in aide? Are the rules detrimental to the hospice patient, or designed to protect the patient?
What do you mean by "custodian". Are you speaking of a facility wishing to ban you, or another member of the family? What reasons are you given? Certainly someone in charge would do everything in his or her power to prevent any disturbing visits during end of life care in which the plan is for comfort, peace, and gentle resolution. Need more information from you to provide anything meaningful. Wishing you good luck in this hard time.
Think I maybe like your sister. Don't think I'd like people coming and going when they felt like it. Now immediate family, children and grands...those could come and go. Just don't expect me to entertain you. I would use that time to relax.
I am not aware of any "laws" concerning in home hospice.
Are you having Hospice in your home and having people there when you don't want them? Or has someone else set up times for visitation. In both instances the person who owns the home or even caring for someone in their own home has a right to set up "visitation times".
Need more info on your situation to give correct answers.
It should always be about the dying person in my opinion. What do they want?
