The conservator is selling my father's possessions tomorrow through an Estate sale company. There is not an inventory list. Is this normal?

My question is why was a conservator appointed? This usually happens when there is no POA and no family can step up and become guardian. And if Dad has this much money, some of it could have been used to establish guardianship.

Yes, there should be an inventory sheet to keep the people holding the sale on the up and up. Like said, the Conservator has to make an accting to the State. Actually, I don't think the Conservator has to answer to you.

I agree, you may need to consult with a lawyer. Dads money will go towards his care and paying the conservator. Is there a Will? An Executor appointed? Because the Conservatorship ends at death. I would think the Executor can then ask for an accounting of how Dads money was spent.
