Does this person NEED a belt?
(I am guessing you are talking about a belt to hold up pants.)
If the pants do not fall down if there is no belt then there is no need for a belt.
My Husband had no hips and sort of a flat butt so his pants would slide down if he was not wearing a belt. I also used suspenders on his pants when he had problems with belts.
there are problems with belts. They can make it more difficult to use the toilet quickly, particularly if one waits until it becomes urgent.
If they do not need a belt then there is no reason to wear one.

If you are talking about Gait Belts. If a person needs a Gait Belt it is placed on them when the get up in the morning and it is removed when they go to bed.
