Find Care & Housing
As freq said you never know when it will come in handy to have a POA Both financial and medical. I've been the POA for several and rarely needed it but was often asked in hospital and dr offices if I had one and it is one less thing to worry about when things get difficult.

I see from your profile that your hubby has cancer so, yes, it would be important for your husband to have someone be his Medical Power of Attorney and his Financial Power of Attorney.... preferably you, if you are willing to take on the task.

And for your husband to be your Medical/Financial Power of Attorney. One doesn't need to have medical issues to have such documents.

When I had cancer years ago, my sign other and I were each others POA, as you never know when the documents would need to come into play.
