I am caring for my Mom and have recently resigned my full-time job. Does the department of aging have stipends available?

My mother lives in Puerto Rico and I have decided to move from Ohio to provide 24/7 care.

Payment to children is usually done if the parent has the resources. Puerto Rico? Medicaid will pay a very small stipend each month if the parent qualifies. And Veterans Administration, if mom or her hubby was in the armed services during war time, had a program Aid and Attendance. Call the Department on Aging when you arrive they may have other ideas.
