Daughter looking for volunteer opportunities for geriatric nursing experience. Any suggestions?

My daughter is in school part time and looking to gain experience since her interest is geriatric nursing. Where can I look for opportunties? We live in New Market, MD. Thanks.

She could also do Hospice volunteering.

She can start with volunteermatch.org or call your local hospital to see what opportunities they might have. She could also volunteer at local nursing homes or assisted living facilities. If there are any VA facilities around where you live, she could contact them.

Places in your area she can contact: Nursing homes, hospitals, Senior Centers, even places like zoos and museums have special Senior Days she could volunteer at. My daughter volunteered at a nursing home for credits for high school. It’s an experience she still talks about decades later.
