Find Care & Housing
If the doctor didn't notice anything unusual except for his not eating, I wonder if your dad is severely depressed and basically has given up on living. If the doctor is not a geriatric doctor - I suggest you take him to one. There is a medicine that will increase his appetite (Megace) if needed. But with what little information I have to go on, I believe his depression really needs to be addressed first. If you do take him to a geriatric doctor, inform the receptionist of the importance of getting him seen as soon as possible so they don't make the appointment 1-2 weeks away. And when you see the doctor, ask lots of questions. I find it best to write my questions down beforehand that way I don't forget to ask it when I'm there. Good luck!!

You need to get him to the doctors (emergency room, if necessary) as soon as possible. Don't delay, please.

I'd strongly suggest you take him to his doctor as soon as possible and go in with your dad to talk to the doctor about what is going on. It could mean a LOT of things, and I sure don't want to start guessing and scare the begeezes out of you or play it down. Good luck!!
