We have no way of getting him out to the dr's for shots and such. What kind of services are out there. What kind of recourse do we have.

You can ask the doctor for skilled care to come into the home. You can also check with your Medicare supplemental insurance company and they may cover transportation.

Rent a wheelchair and see if he can be moved from the wheelchair into the car. Did the doctors say why your Dad stopped walking? Back or knees hurting?

In some areas, there are wheelchair van cab services where the wheelchair and patient are rolled into the cab from an automatic ramp in the back of the van, then the wheelchair is locked into place. The ride is very comfortable but expensive.
